Why Buy The Samsung LN46B650 46 Inch LCD HDTV?

Posted under Recreation and Sports

Hello, and welcome to my personal, unbiased review of my new Samsung LN46B650 46 Inch LCD HDTV. I purchased my new Samsung LN46B650 TV online about two or three weeks ago. If you’re thinking of buying a new TV, then this is why you should consider the Samsung LN46B650 46 Inch HDTV yourself.

The Samsung LN46B650 46 Inch LCD HDTV is by far the best 46 inch ever to be released. This is the broad opinion of many critics and experts (and I agree!). Every picture I’ve watched has been like looking through a window and the sound quality is top notch also.

With its 46 inch screen (measured diagonally), which has full 1080p screen resolution, every picture is crystal clear. It has 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a 4 millisecond response time.

Another great feature of this TV is Samsung’s new “Wide Color Enhancer” technology. This superb quality is designed for blending and rendering the colors of pictures more naturally. It also makes the blacks blacker and the whites whiter, for more life-like pictures.

The TV itself has been designed excellently in my opinion too. It has a black glossy frame and has Samsung’s new “Touch of Color” feature, which is a translucent red trim around the edges of the frame. This gives it a really cool, modern look (futuristic even) and makes the TV look way more expensive than it actually is. If you do buy the Samsung LN46B650, your friends will be very impressed as soon as they lay eyes on it.

The TV frame sits on a clear, see through swivel stand, which looks very modern also. It also comes in handy for sunny days, when screen glare can be a problem for any TV. Just change the angle of the TV and your screen glare problems are a thing of the past.

The audio features of the Samsung LN46B650 LCD HDTV are really cool also. The TV comes with 2X15 watt, high quality surround sound speakers. You also get a subwoofer for extra bass, which you can custom to your preferences.

My favourite feature of this tv, however, is the Ethernet application. This allows you to surf the web on your 46 inch TV via your remote control. You can check out content from popular sites like YouTube, Flickr and Yahoo in your living room. How cool is that!

If you think you may buy the Samsung LN46B650, then I’d recommend checking out online retailers before you go any further. Find a well known, reputable retailer and you should get a hefty discount due to them selling on the net (and not having to pay to run a high street store). You should also get free home delivery.

The Best Way To Watch Without A Trace TV Show Online

Posted under Recreation and Sports

Maybe you are fond of watching TV shows like Without A Trace; if so, you must certainly welcome the idea that you can watch Without A Trace TV Show online, too.

Don’t be concerned that downloading files online can get viruses and spyware applications into your system. That will only happen when you download from unsecured sites. Free sites usually fall under this category.

In order to watch Without A Trace TV program online, go for legal sites. Even if you have to make an investment, you can be assured that your computer will not be infected with viruses or spyware applications.

There are two ways you can download legally. One is to pay every time you download. This, however, can cost you more money in the long run. The other option is to pay a one time membership fee, which is usually not more than the cost of an original DVD, anyway. By paying this fee, you get to make as many downloads as you can.

In order to watch TV shows online, you obviously need to have a computer with an internet connection. It doesn’t matter what type of computer you use, but when it comes to internet connection, it has to be DSL, Broadband or its equivalent.

As you must know, TV show files are huge files that downloading them will require a lot of time. Sometimes, it can even take hours before you can complete a single download, all the more so if you are using dial-up. You should know, too, that dial-up internet connections are not reliable. Many times, you will not be able to complete one download in a day. It’s also possible to experience many interruptions during the downloading phase, and just imagine if you keep on starting all over again!

You can also watch your favorite movies or TV shows online without having to make a download and without having to pay a single cent. YouTube, for instance, has a collection of TV shows, movies, and just about anything else, that have been uploaded for free viewing. The thing is, YouTube does not have superior graphics and sound quality.

As you can see, you don’t have to miss any episode of Without A Trace anymore. All you need to do is to search for the episode that you missed and watch Without A Trace TV show online wherever you may be and at any time you wish. Visit my site for more downloading tips and tricks.

Sports Betting Champ – NFL Betting Strategies

Posted under Recreation and Sports

NFL stands for the National Football League, which happens to be the largest and longest enduring professional football League in the United States. It is made up of 32 teams, in two conferences ? the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). The teams that win in the two conference championships face each other in the Super Bowl at the end of each season. It is a known fact that more money is wagered on NFL games than any other sport. This is the reason that people have been searching for NFL Betting Strategies that will help them win their bets.

One popular way to bet on the NFL is to use the over/under technique, which means that instead of predicting which team will win, you can place your bet according to whether you believe the combined score of both teams will go over or under a specified amount set by the sports book.

With this type of betting, you will be able to do some good analysis on the likely outcome of the game by closely following the form of the two teams involved. It doesn?t really matter which team wins, or what the final score is. You simply have to correctly assess the teams? performances against the mark set by the sports book.

Other simple steps that you can take to greatly increase your chances of winning at NFL betting include sticking to straight wagers only, avoiding most road favorites, and not wagering in each game. Stick right to betting the straight win odds line, one game at a time. Set a standard for selecting the games you want to wager on. Also, instead of trying to win back what you lost on early games, just accept the loss and move on to preparing for the following week of action.

The best strategy you can do to win your NFL bets is properly using a betting system that is backed by statistical analysis.

Is MMA Beating Boxing

Posted under Recreation and Sports

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting has just about finished boxing. With MMA groups like Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Pride and WEC the level of skill and excitement has risen way above anything boxing can produce.

Boxing was once upon a time, a multi-million dollar business with the best boxers in the world providing excitement ring. People all over the world would sit around there TV watching the fight of the year. Then a decade or so later we had heavy weights like Iron Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield. They were big exciting boxers that pounded each other. They usually provided good action and knockouts. After these boxers retired or faded out we lost boxers with size and moved to boxers with skill like Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather etc. This era of boxing was great but it always ended in a decision. It started to take the fun out of watching boxing and people were getting tired of paying good money for a non entertaining fight and no ending with a KO.

Then in 90s along comes this Ultimate Fighting Championship tournament where eight men are pitted against each other in a caged octagon ring, with a winner at the end of the night winning the tournament. There were only two rules, no eye gouging and no biting. You could do anything else to win. To get the win you either knocked your opponent out or submitted him. There were many different styles of fighting, anywhere from Kung Fu, to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, to Muay Thai and Bar Room Brawling. Thats why its so entertaining because anybody who had fighting experience had a chance. When it first started there were a lot of mismatched though! At the end of the day though, this was great entertainment to audiences. People started paying to watch these fights and with the media putting a negative spin on it, UFC blew up. In 2001 the UFC was sold to new owners and Dana White was named president.

Dana White is responsible for making UFC and other MMA events so popular today. He changed the fighting rules, so it would be less barbaric and also so that there were two fighters competing for the win, instead of a tournament style fight. Also there would be 6-7 fights on a pay-per-view event. So that means on a pay-per-view event you have the chance to see 6-7 people get knocked out or submitted. Unlike boxing where you watch 12 rounds of boxing to get a bad decision.

Dana White decided to increase the popularity of UFC even more by introducing The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) reality show in which the winner gets a contract to fight in the UFC and a shot at stardom. This show has a firm grip on guys in the age range of 18-34. It has been recorded that, in this age range, the shows ratings have surpassed NBA and MLB playoffs. As for the pay-per-view money, in 2006 the UFC made $223M, HBO made $177M and WWE made $200M. Dana Whites definitely doing something right. Fighters are getting more popular than ever as their fan base increases. With popular fighters like Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz and Lyota Machida

So why is UFC more popular than Boxing? Its simple. The UFC offer fast paced action which usually ends in a submission or Knockout. Instead of watching 12 long rounds of Boxing just to end in a decision. One of the great things in MMA is you just never know whos going to win. All it takes is someone to get a lucky shot in and his opponent drops like a sack of potatoes. Boxing hasnt produced that in a long time. Thats not to say UFC doesnt have its faults.

At the end of the day, UFC is offering viewers what they want. I think boxing will be around for a few more years but MMA will beat boxing out of business sooner rather than later.

Paintball Mask – The Basics

Posted under Recreation and Sports

Do you like playing paintball? It’s a rough game. You could get hit possibly anywhere. And you wouldn’t want to get hit on the face, right? So it’s good to wear a good paintball mask when playing.

One of the most important protective gears that you should have when playing paintball is a paintball mask. It gives you confidence to stand face-to-face with the opponent without the fear of getting shot in the face. It also stops the paint from getting into your eyes, nose, mouth, or ears since ingesting paint can be toxic to the body.

Eye injuries can also be prevented by wearing a paintball mask. Paintball markers can travel up to 300 feet per second. And if you get shot in the eye, then you could receive considerable damage in your eye. A paintball mask also provides better vision during game p lay. You would consider getting a paintball mask that allows you 120 degrees of vision for you to be able to see better in the field.

Has it happened that your sunglasses or your eyeglasses fog up when you go into a cold room on a hot day? It could also happen with your paintball mask. So it is wise to get a mask with thermal lenses or anti-fog lenses that help you keep your vision clear during game play. Thermal lenses are made of two lenses with a thin space filled with air in between that serves as a barrier for the outside temperature to the heat on your face.

Some paintballs masks lenses would be tinted to act like sunglasses and shield your eyes from the glare of the sun or the light. A paintball mask could also prevent head trauma and other head injuries caused by falling or tripping.

Make sure that you want to play paintball first before purchasing anything. Test some masks to check what paintball mask really works for you. It is not necessary to purchase something that you wouldn’t need. If you really want to get in the game, make sure that the paintball mask you purchase is actually your size. It should cost from $20 to $100.

Get a paintball mask in a darker color. Brighter colors make it easier for your opponent to spot you in the field, making you an easy target. It does not have to be in camouflage. Darker colors will do.

Your paintball mask must completely cover your chin and your ears to make sure that your whole face is protected by the mask. If you want to protect your whole head, you could go for the mask that looks like a motorcycle helmet with a different face guard.

When you look down, your mouth guard must not touch your chest. Make sure that you can look in all directions comfortably when you have your paintball mask on. Also, the padding on your paintball mask is to be taken into consideration as well. It must be firmly glues onto your mask. The foam should take the shape of your face when you wear the mask but revert to its original form when you take it off. This is to ensure that you are comfortable and that it snugly fits your head while you’re playing.

How To Choose The Correct Haircut For Your Hairstyle

Posted under Recreation and Sports

You might be able to visualize what you feel is a perfect hairstyle for you. Perhaps you have seen it on another individual, were impressed, and would like to have it yourself. This may be very feasible and ideally, if you can take a picture to your hairstylist then she will know exactly what it is you are looking for.

One thing you might want to keep in mind though is that particular hairstyle that you are looking for may need to be cut. This may cause some concern for you particularly if you have been trying to grow your hair out or you are quite happy with the length that it is at now.

If this is the case, you are going to have to make the decision, which you want more being your current hair length or the hairstyle that you have chosen. Perhaps if it is your hair length that you want to keep then you can find other hairstyles that are going to suit that particular hair length.

Many individuals look different with the different types of hair lengths that they are going to have. Some individuals look great with side bags that are quite long and seem to frame the face. Other individuals suit hairstyles where the cut is layered to give them more body.

There are some basics that you want to make sure that you keep in mind when getting your hair cut for your hairstyle and that is what the best is for you. We are not talking here about what length you want but really taking a serious look at what brings your overall features out.

Some people that have a very long face tend to wear their hair long and straight and it just pulls their face down and elongates it even further. Another issue that you want to remember is that if you are going to have your hair short and you have naturally curly hair then it is going to be looking a lot shorter than probably what the initial cut indicated.

Once you determine the best length then its going to give you a lot more choices for hairstyles. At the same time it’s going to narrow down your choices so it’s not quite as confusing for you and you will know exactly what you have to choose from.

If you are adamant about keeping your hair long then you want to make sure that you get your ends cut no matter what. Something you might want to consider is the ?V? cut, which leaves the length at the back but is a little shorter along the sides. This does not have as much effect on making a long face look longer.

So ideally, you need to balance your decision between your haircut and your hairstyle. Its important one enhances the other. If this takes place then it will bring out your best features and help to minimize your flaws.

Beating Brock Lesnar: 5 Who Can

Posted under Recreation and Sports

In the aftermath of Brock Lesnars 2nd round TKO victory over Frank Mir the prevailing attitude toward him from mainstream fans has experienced a sudden and seismic shift. Before his past two fights many were questioning whether his credentials justified giving him a shot at the title, with some even unfairly comparing him to EliteXC YouTube sideshow attraction Kimbo Slice. In the aftermath of Lesnars UFC 100 victory the new question surrounding the former WWE champion has become who can beat this guy? Lesnar definitely is a freaky physical specimen combining size and strength with speed and agility. Hes also progressing by leaps and bounds as a fighter with every bout. Still, hes got a big deficit in experience to make up on the job as UFC heavyweight champion.

Lesnar is no doubt a handful for any opponent, but in many ways has been the beneficiary of favorable matchups throughout his MMA career. More recently, Frank Mir made a serious tactical error, thinking that he could absorb a beating on the ground and wait for a submission opportunity. Lesnar had gameplanned Mir perfectly, and implemented a fight plan that allowed him to pound his opponent mercilessly while avoiding the risk of submission. Neither observation is meant to diminish the significance of Lesnars victories, but to underscore the fact that hes not unbeatable. Heres five fighters who could do it:

1) FEDOR EMELIANENKO: While the acrimonious relationship between the Russian fighting god and the UFC brass makes this matchup unlikely, Brock Lesnar made news with his dismissal of Fedor at the press conference welcoming Couture back to the fold. The best news for Lesnar in this matchup is that it probably wont happen. The Last Emperor is as close to unbeatable as anyone in mixed martial arts. Fedor has defeated not only bigger opponents, but freakishly large opponents like K-1 kickboxer Hong-Man Choi and Kamala the Ugandan Giant doppelganger Zuluzhinho (whom he beat in a matter of seconds, essentially with one punch). The WAMMA World Heavyweight champion has striking power, submission mastery, and may be the toughest fighter mentally in the sport. Fedor might get taken down by the new UFC heavyweight champ, but hed reverse it from the bottom and win via armbar.

2) ANTONIO RODRIGO NOGUEIRA: Nogueira would present Lesnar with another formidable challenge. The former Interim heavyweight champion has equal, if not superior, BJJ skills and has proven to be tougher and more durable than Mir. His five career losses are all via decision and came to the absolute highest level of competition (Fedor Emelianenko twice, Frank Mir, Josh Barnett and Dan Henderson). The Mir fight was a lopsided loss, but it was later revealed that he had been recovering from a staph infection that limited his training and clearly impacting his conditioning. His ability to withstand punishment and take a punch allows him to be patient against powerful opponents and wait for an opening for a submission, as evidenced in his fight against Tim Sylvia. The UFC heavyweight division is notoriously thin, but among the current crop Nogueira is by far Lesnars worst matchup.

3) JOSH BARNETT: Barnett is another unlikely opponent for Lesnar, also due to his strained relationship with Dana White and current issues with his positive drug test. Barnett also has a solid wrestling background, with the added dimension of his sizable submission repertoire. As his career has progressed, Barnett has become a more patient and tactically sound fighter and his standup game has improved significantly. Unfortunately for MMA fans, a matchup between Lesnar and Barnett is more likely to happen in an IGF pro wrestling event than in the UFC.

4) ALISTAIR OVEREEM: Overeem is actually bigger than Lesnar”260 pounds and 65 tall–and has compiled a 5-1-1 record in his last seven fights. Mirko Cro Cop suggests that hes the *only* fighter in the world who could beat Fedor Emelianenko at this point. Hes got great standup including a kickboxing background that could cause Lesnar problems, as well as solid ground fighting ability. Hes yet another heavyweight that is unlikely to bend to Dana Whites contractual demands, and currently has a relationship with DREAM in Japan and Strikeforce in the US. Still, hes a dangerous matchup for any fighter on the planet. Hopefully, his recent hand injury will recover sufficiently to allow him back into competition quickly.

5) RANDY COUTURE: Lesnars win over Couture was far from decisive, and it didnt have anything to do with the age disparity. Couture got caught with a big shot and it cost him the fight. Until that point, he was more than holding his own. He was making his opponent work hard, had the edge in the striking exchanges and had opened up a cut over Lesnars right eye. Granted, itll never be a favorable matchup on paper for Couture but at the same time Lesnar in no way proved his categorical superiority over The Natural. Couture’s toughness and cerebral approach to fighting could make the rematch a different story entirely.

An intriguing matchup down the road could be against Croatian striking machine Mirko Cro Cop. Cro Cop has battled injuries over the past year or so but if he could come close to the form he demonstrated in winning the PRIDE Open Weight GP he could be another formidable challenge. At his best, Cro Cop is simply the most devastating striker in the sport.

Skydiving Tips : Tandem Jump Programs

Posted under Recreation and Sports

In this installment of our skydiving guide we look tandem jumping.

In tandem jumping – a popular way to start skydiving – a beginner jumper and an instructor are attached together by a harness. They exit the plane and descend together, remaining attached throughout.

The instructor has complete control of the jump, including the free fall, canopy release and landing. He or she steers the two attached jumpers both horizontally and vertically; the novice can simply relax and enjoy the jump.

It allows you to get acquainted with skydiving with minimal risk, minimal anxiety and minimal training. Many people use this as a preliminary to static line or accelerated freefall training, and ultimately to solo jumping. It’s also tends to be the cheapest option as you don’t have to purchase or hire your own equipment and you require less pre-jump instruction.

Whereas most jump programs require several hours of ground instruction, very little training is needed to do a tandem jumping as a student. The novice must learn how to cooperate with the instructor in exiting the plane and descending, but this will usually take less than a couple of hours.

After the jumpers exit the plane, the instructor will almost immediately release a small pilot chute (or drogue) that will help slow the descent to around 120 mph (193 kph), roughly the normal free fall speed. Without this pilot chute, the two jumpers’ combined weight would generate a descent speed of about 200 mph (321 kph) – much faster than any beginning parachutist should experience.

At the appropriate elevation above ground level (about 3,000 feet – 914 m), the instructor will pull a cord to deploy the main parachute canopy, shortly after which you’ll then descend at the normal rate, about 10 mph (16 kph), until you touch down on the ground.

Why Choose A Pirate Costume For The Theme Night

Posted under Recreation and Sports

Pirates have always been the point of focus of fantasy books and movies. Plenty of tales have been woven around the way they dress and carry themselves . However, they are not just popular in movies and books. A pirate costume is very commonly chosen for Halloween fancy dress parties. If you are going to a dress party, then a pirate is a great character to go as. It’s popularity is continually on the rise and it would always be fun and a classical favourite.

Choosing the Costume Choices are plenty once you decide to dress up like a pirate. The latest craze is Captain Jack Sparrow with his long dread locks and dark smoky eyes. Another all time favorite is the pirate captain outfit with the hook for a hand and short pants. On the other hand, if you are a female and you want to be a female pirate, then of course there is the flouncy short dress and bandanna.

The pirate costume is available at most of the costume shops . After all, it is a classic. Unless it is Halloween time, you might have to browse online stores for an outfit. There are many websites and online shops that offer all sorts of pirate costumes, both male and female versions.

You might also like to get more creative and design your own outfit. This is also very simple to do. An assortment of items are required to make a classic pirate costume: Baggy clothing in deep rich colors Pants that have been cut off at the knee Thick belt with a large buckle Knee-length boots Frilly Shirt A funky Eye patch Sword Pirate hat Jewelry

For those who want to be a bit more adventurous with the costume, adding a fake peg leg, a parrot perched on the shoulder, and even a fake tan (if you do not have a real one) are a few ways of spicing up the pirate look. If you are a man with short hair, then you might want to get a long haired wig, or a wig that has dread locks. A girl pirate looks best with dread locks. The fun part of going as a pirate is that nothing is off limits or too tacky.

The Right Attitude Apart from dressing up as a pirate, it is also important to carry yourself as one. Some would say, if you want to walk the walk then talk the talk. Try a conspiring and scratchy voice for an amazing effect. When someone says “hello”, opt for an “ahoy”, and you could even go all out and call everyone “mate”.

You can also research pirates via the Internet. There are many resources about the outfits as well so that you can look like a vintage pirate from head to toe. The normal attitude of a pirate is arrogant, greedy, and rebellious. They also speak loudly, and are usually found with a bottle of rum. Just remember Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean.

If the dress party or ball is a bit too serious for the “ahoy’s”, then you can still be a great pirate without the pirate slang. Dressing up and playing a pirate is just a fun thing in itself, no matter what type of a pirate role you choose to enact. While no one has ever heard of a sophisticated pirate, at least you can look good doing it!
