Settle Your Debts

Posted under Credit Cards

According to ACORN, African Americans and other minorities were, and still are, disproportionately targeted by predatory lenders. They are burdened with significantly higher interest rates than their white counterparts, even when median income levels were comparable. The ramifications of predatory lending are families that are straddled with tremendous interest rates and significant debt. The end result seems to be foreclosure. Pursuing debt settlement and mortgage refinancing are viable defenses against the predators.

The definition of predatory lending, according to the Investors Dictionary is, the practice of a lender deceptively convincing borrowers to agree to unfair and abusive loan terms, or systematically violating those terms in ways that make it difficult for the borrower to defend against.” There is irrefutable evidence that predatory lenders have targeted, and still target, racial minorities, the undereducated, and the elderly. Although predatory lending is often associated with mortgages, other forms of predatory lending include credit cards, payday loans, and overdraft loans.

What may be surprising is the fact most predatory lending is collateralized. In other words, these loans are only given with vehicles and homes as collateral. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) supplies ample evidence that indeed the loan industry targets poor and minority families. Think predatory lenders work from underground lairs? Think again. ACORN successfully pressured HSBC Finance and H&R Block into changing some their predatory practices. Its been said the man who comes to repossess your home wears a suit and tie, not a ski mask.

There are a number of subprime lending (the nice way of saying predatory) defenders. The National Home Equity Mortgage Association (NHEMA) claims the practice of lending high-risk loans is essential for some families that would normally have no chance of owning a home or own a car. They claim the laws targeted at predatory practices actually restrict the ability of low-income families to move to safer or more profitable neighborhoods.

To be sure, you need only turn on the financial news or skim the business section of any newspaper to see the far-flung effects of this monumental greed. Moreover, there are some laws in various states that target specific practices often identified as predatory. The loan industry is rife with corruption and the incredible number of foreclosures provides ample evidence.

Should you have suffered from predatory lenders, it is not difficult to find reliable debt settlement companies. These debt settlement programs can help you regain financial freedom.

Sports Betting at Its Best

Posted under Gaming

Whenever a major sports event takes place, betting is inevitable. It is human nature to show support to the one who they think will emerge victorious. One of the ways into which you can show this support is through betting. You can bet using money, or any valuable possessions of yours like cars, even your houses.

Sports Betting is now being renowned as one of the exciting parts of any major sports event. For example, in the recently concluded battle of the east and west when Manny Pacquiao had his fight against Ricky Hatton, betting is one of the things that made the fight more exciting. Over the internet, you can also do the same thing. You just have to go to Sportsbook Directory to find what event in particular you can put your bet on. You can also visit the Top Sports Betting Sites for you to be sure that your bet is actually counted, and not being hoarded by some people who can’t resist doing bad.

Sports betting in one way or another can help both those who are betting and those who are favored by their bets. This could give inspiration to the athletes and in return, it can also give the one who put the bet more money if he or she wins.

The Best Way To Make Money Online

Posted under Marketing

If you have been trying to make money online, you have probably seen the U-Tube videos and downloaded some web-marketing guru’s plan for easy online money. You might have even tried some affiliate marketing, with companies such as Clickbank and Commission Junction. If you’re like most people, you probably aren’t being successful in your internet marketing efforts. I’ve tried the expensive easy methods and I’ve found that after spending a lot of money on Adwords and paid search-engine marketing the results never paid for the advertising.

If you really want to make money online, you need a plan that is proven to work. Making money on the internet isn’t rocket science, lots of people have profitable internet businesses and you can too. The secret is free advertising. The way you get that is through article marketing. Article marketing consists of writing articles, like this one, that are posted for free on the article directories. When someone clicks on the link, they come to your sales page and you get potential customer for free. Making this work requires two things – time and consistent effort. In other words a business plan.

Once you make a plan, you have to stick to it.

Here’s the plan: Today you will:

* Select a product that you believe has potential for success.

* Find the keywords that are used when people are looking for your product

* Develop 5 different articles of about 400 – 600 words about your product. You can re-write existing articles (just be sure that you don’t plagiarize). Article re-write software is available to help you with this step.

* Register with 5 article directories such as ezine, articlecity, goarticle, etc and post a different version of your article on each one. Make sure to use the relevant key words both in the article and in the articles title.

* Repeat tomorrow.

* After you have posted 25 articles on that product, get another idea to market and repeat the process.

Depending on your speed, you can write and post an article in about 30 – 50 minutes so getting 5 articles a day posted online should take you less than 5 hours. The payoff is the articles never go away. People read them and other people post them on their website. If anyone has an interest in finding out more, they click through to your sales page. Free traffic, that’s the ticket to internet profits.

Financing to Cover Liposuction Prices

Posted under Health

Cosmetic surgery tends to cost more than most people can afford. Liposuction prices average from $1,500 to as much as $15,000 depending on the area to be treated. However there is more than one way to pay for the liposuction procedure and not all of it has to be upfront. Most surgeons will either finance the procedure themselves or often will refer patients to financing companies. There are also specialized companies who make it their business to finance plastic surgery costs.

What some patients will be surprised to learn is that it is not uncommon for most clinics to carry the financing in house. Most places will be happy to extend a line of credit to any potential patient with sufficiently qualifying credit history. Usually however, the rates offered by clinics are some of the worst around. Just as you would shop for a quality surgeon, shop around for better financing rates.

If the clinic doesn’t carry financing in house, almost every surgeon has working relationships with local financing companies with whom they can refer patients. These financing companies are used to receiving referrals from the liposuction surgeon and are experienced in working out fair and manageable payment plans for almost any budget.

If smaller companies are hard to find or hard to trust, as is the case for some people, Health Care Finance is a subsidiary of Capital One that specializes in financing medical procedures that are not usually covered by health insurance.

Since most health insurance plans won’t cover cosmetic enhancement procedures, there are companies designed especially for people with health insurance.

One big player in this specific niche is Credit Care. They will finance a liposuction bill that is within the range of $1,500 to $25,000.

Because most health insurance plans don’t cover the liposuction procedure and the liposuction price is usually more than most people can cover in a single payment, many people never take the next step to set up consultation with a surgeon. Or worse they begin to shop for a surgeon who may be less qualified but within their price range. The important thing is that while debt is not recommended, it is much worse to risk your health with an under experienced surgeon.

How to Win With Forex Training

Posted under Business And Finance

A lot of people start trading Forex without really understanding what’s going on – and that’s a problem. If you don’t know what you’re doing, it is incredibly easy to mess up. That’s where getting some proper Forex training comes in – if you can find someone to teach you the skills you need, you can dramatically reduce the time it takes you to learn. And the money you spend along the way!

Today’s internet is filled with helpful articles, the library is stuffed with books, and there are so many courses on offer from so many places that it can be impossible to know where to start. Too many people get swamped by the sheer volume of information, and end up with so many conflicting ideas and suggestions they become completely paralyzed, not knowing where to start. The solution to this, if you really want to succeed, is something I call “information overload”.

Information Overload is a technique of total immersion. You completely submerse yourself in the information you are studying, so that when the time comes to put it to use, you have no hesitation. If you just want quick and easy success, you can just buy some Forex software – and that will work, but you will do much better if you fully and completely understand what you are doing, rather then letting a program do it for you.

So, the first step in information overloading is to go down to your local library. Find the books on Forex trading (I’m sure there are some!) and stand in front of them. Close your eyes. Pull a book off the shelf. I have no idea what that book is, but it’s about Forex, and that’s what you’re interested in – so go check it out.

Great! You’ve picked out a book, and now you just have to read it. This trick here, is to read it fast – keep it with you all the time, and every spare moment (on your break, in a line, during commercials on tv…) you read it. Even just a little bit, even just a paragraph or two, it all counts. And, most importantly, read it just before you fall asleep – several pages, at least. This is essential.

You see, whatever you are thinking of immediately before falling asleep, is what gets imprinted most strongly on your mind. The purpose of all this reading is not to learn anything. The chances are, if you picked a hard book, you may not even understand it. Doesn’t matter. Don’t even try to figure it out. Just keep reading, passing all the info through your mind, until you finish the book.

After you’ve done that book, go and get another one. Keep going until you’ve got enough info stored away, and you’re ready for the next stage. It will be obvious when you’re ready – you’ll start thinking about Forex randomly, you’re brain producing facts and figures, information you weren’t consciously aware of. You might even start dreaming about Forex – don’t worry, that’s a good sign!

The next part of the information overload process is active learning. Go back to your library, and take another look at the books they have there. You’ll probably be surprised at how much you can already understand of them, and that’s without doing any real study – just the total immersion. Allow your subconscious instinct to guide your choice, and pick out a book for you to learn from.

Now you’ve overloaded yourself with Forex information, studying it suddenly becomes incredibly easy. As you read through the book, carefully, you’ll probably experience a sense of deja-vu, as all the things you didn’t know you’d learned fall into place. Take care this time, and really study the material, and you’ll be astounded at how fast you can grasp it.

So you now have all the tools you need to become a master Forex trader. All that’s lacking is practice – for that, I suggest you pick up a Forex software package. You need to get experience somehow, and most software packages will give you the tools you need to really come to grips with the material. In the end of course, the human mind is an amazing thing – and you have everything you need right there.

Best of luck to you!

On Hold Music – Something is Better Than Nothing, Provided

Posted under Marketing

Something is sometimes better than nothing, but not always. Take the case of free hold music, or any kind of free onhold messaging your company or organization might be considering. Sure, its fair to say that, in theory, its far better to have something playing for your callers who are on hold ” some kind of music, or verbal message, or combination of the two. Almost anything but dead silence. No question. Statistics and common sense back this up.

Its easy to imagine exceptions to this generality, however. For example, if the quality of your audio is bad it can project an unprofessional, even fly-by-night image. As organizations with unprofessional, low-quality onhold messaging or music become more rare, the detrimental imaging suffered by those who have not yet modernized their callers onhold experience becomes potentially that much greater. I know that when I find myself on hold nowadays and subjected to bad audio, and/or cheesy music, and/or poorly written announcements, the experience seems anachronistic, and, even more comical than it used to twenty or thirty years ago! (Search for worst hold music ever at YouTube for a humorous response to one particularly egregious example of cheesy hold music.)

True, you might save a few bucks on the front end by doing your on hold music or message on the cheap, but as with all of your other marketing and imaging tools, you get what you pay for. Especially in an economy like this one, when it comes to your ability to compete and survive, your image really is everything, and your image is potentially threatened by any weak links in the chain. Bottom line, if you do decide to find some source of free music to play on hold, or to write and produce your own on hold messages, you had better be prepared to put the time, effort, and energy into the research and education necessary to ensure that you are not shooting yourself in the foot.

A better, more cost-effective option might be to avail yourself of a service who specializes in on hold music and messaging and who has the expertise and experience to deal with technical and equipment issues, writing and production, and regularly scheduled refreshing and updating of your messages, as well as covering all legal and copyright infringement bases.

Don’t underestimate the importance of quality hold music and messaging. It could be the difference between sales and just leads.
